project overview.
It’s hard to believe the vast regeneration this large family home has been through to get to the beautiful finished property you see in front of your eyes today.
Before the interior design phase of the project could even begin, the team faced a colossal task of restructuring the property from top to bottom. This included removing every single interior wall, adding a double-storey extension on the front and a single-storey extension on the back as well a full conversion into the loft.
With the house completely now reshaped, we could then set about our work in creating a bright, airy and modern home for our client but, at the same time, injecting characterful features of Victorian style.
The basis of the interiors are minimalistic to retain a sense of light and space, but they have added a warm homely feel with natural wooden floorboards, and sophisticated style with a period bathroom suite.
Working to tight deadlines is all part and parcel of the work we do. In this project, we were in a race against time to complete before the arrival of the family’s new-born baby. This focused our minds and we worked tirelessly to complete all the work without sacrificing the quality of the job.
client testimonial
“Refurbishments can be stressful, but Matt helped provide structure throughout the plan. We liked how organised Matt was – having weekly update meetings on site really helped envisage how fast work was progressing and helped us know how far ahead of time to have all our choices of fixtures ready. We also loved the fact that no matter what questions and concerns we might have, Matt and his team were always there to immediately help and find solutions for us.”
